What could be better than a nutrient-packed fruit smoothie for breakfast? This smoothie is extra energizing. Chia seeds or flax seeds can be added in for a boost of omega fatty acids
Ingredients
- 1 cup loosely packed kale
- 1/2 cup apple cubed
- 1 cup blackberries (or mixed berries) frozen
- 1/2 - 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Directions
Step 1
Put all the fruit (except juices) in the blending bowl.
Step 2
Pulse to blend, gradually adding orange and lime juice.
Step 3
Enjoy as a smoothie or pour mixture into Multiportions and freeze for approximately 30 minutes, or until firmly set but not completely frozen
